The classic story book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is one of my favourite children’s books of all time. I haven’t yet watched the movie, but plan to soon. While out shopping at Urban Outfitters the other day I stumbled upon a great find: a Wild Thing shadow puppet!
I haven’t been this excited about a toy since PixelBlocks. The wooden shadow puppet allows you to move its arms up and down. My husband and I have been slowly collecting puppets for my baby daughter when she gets older in hopes that she’ll be creative and make up stories with us. She already has a good time with me when I make good ol’ fashioned hand shadow puppets, so this should provide some more inspiration.
So until she gets older, this puppet is mine to play with – hehehe.
