I have been bad—very, very bad. I apologize as I have been neglecting this blog. There have been so many changes in my life in the past year. Since my inaugural post, a number of significant things have kept me busy:
- I got married and went on a honeymoon to Hawaii.
- I moved 3 times in 6 months until we finally settled into our new home.
- I found out I am pregnant!
- My husband and I went on a “babymoon” to Thailand and Korea as a nice getaway before our lives get more hectic with the little one.
As I’m writing this, I’m eight months pregnant with my first child and have been married for just over a year. I’m getting ready to go on a one year maternity leave from my full-time job as a marketing and advertising coordinator at a software company. Right now I am in full nesting mode and am waddling around the house trying to clean and organize everything.
On another note, I recently received a Wacom tablet from my husband. In my spare time, I’ve been doodling with the tablet. It’s pretty tricky drawing on such a tiny surface, but I love it and find that it’s a great way to experiment with different mediums and art styles. The headers at the top of each page were created using the tablet – hope you like them!
The next few months will no doubt be a busy and exciting time with the new baby. I hope to dedicate more time to LuvBuv during my maternity leave and share some more stories and articles with you. Wish me luck in the delivery room!
